Back in 1963, my Dad bought a Holstien/Hereford calf for $15....

He told me if I fed it and cleaned the pen, I could sell it and buy a shotgun...

I sold the steer for $123 bout a year later... I think it weighed 1200 pounds or so...Maybe more..That was a long time ago..

I used the money to buy a used 16 gauge 11-48 for $85...

It was a fine shotgun.. Shot a bunch of stuff with it, including my first ducks, my first deer, and my first red fox..

I also shot my first limit of ruffed grouse with it ( 4 per day) which is something I've only done a couple of times since then...
