Default How lucky can one guy get?

Had a camera out for 2 weeks hoping to get a late season buck on it before they started shedding. I drove out on the fourwheeler to check it and replace it with my stealth cam to get some more pics. While I was driving full blast thought the field I saw a crap load of deer in the same field I was in. You have a 15 year old kid on a fourwheeler so of course I had to chase after the deer on the fourwheeler. One of them was a buck. well a shedded buck. You could tell how the way his back sloped, how his neck was still a bit swollen, and the way he stood. Seeing all those deers I thought, alright maybe ill have some good pics. I parked the fourwheeler on top of the hill and walked through about 2 feet of snow down a steep hill and crossed the fence, which I did happend to rip my jeans on. I walked a little ways through the timber and scared a few more does out and there was tracks EVERYWHERE. I got to my camera and there was tracks all over around it. I got the sd card out, put it in the digital camera, and found that there was no pictures at all on it. The battery died right after I set it up. It did capture one picture of me leaving from when I set it up.
So I was a bit upset. Then I strapped on my stealth cam to the same tree and got it at the right angle. Then I opened the box and tried turning it on... It wouldn't turn on. Batteries were dead!!! Brand new batteries and they didn't even work. So I had to unstrap the camera. Half pissed off I had to cross that same fence which I tore another hole in my pants and walked up a big hill with 2 feet of snow. I got on the fourwheeler and started driving back to the house. I almost got stuck on the way back. Then I had to open two gates which were all surrounded by cattle and the last thing I wanted was for the cows to get out.

Somewhat of a long read but you might get a laugh or two out of it.
And from what happend to day. Im ending my trail cameras for the year. Im not gonna put them back out until july. Hopefully by then ill have a cudde.
