As lowly as you think Tasco, they are still a much better scope than any Simmons. About 4-5 years ago, I bought 9 Simmons, four 3-10x44 and five 2.5-10x44 Aetec, out of these 9, 2 were bad right out of the box, as in would not focus or parrallex could not be corrected/elimanted. The rest all went bad within 10-200 rounds, as in the magnafication adjustment rings would slide back and forth on the tube a 1/4" and the focus and parrallex made it impossible to see through them much less shoot with them. Needless to say I' ll never use any Simmons product again. I threw every one of them in the trash can and wrote it off as an expensive lesson learned.

Look at the Nikon Buckmaster series. Excellent optics and clearity for the money.
