Just curious, what is the difference in the elastic potential when you use linen instead of fiberglass for your mid. strait? It would be interesting to know.

I have never used linen instead of glass so I can't comment on that.
I use it mainly for overlays and riser accent strips altho I am planning on building a riser out of pure linen phenolic.
When used as an accent strip it does add a heap of strenght to a riser. Maybe I should have put a strip in the riser that broke on me that way I would not have ended up with a concussion
