Yeah, when you sacrifice your namesake and quality for money (along with buying up every musical instrument brand you can), it's selling out. There's a REASON Fender guitars of a certain era are so sought after. Same with Gibsons. Of course, you can iconize and market yourself to death so the little sheep will keep buying your crap, thinking it's the best...all because of a name. And that's not to say ALL of Fenders products are crap, because they're not.
And there's more to business and business ethics than the "scientific" side of economics.
