My 270 really likes the Winchester Supreme 130-grain Ballistic Silver tip ammo. The bullet is a Combined Technology, Nosler/Winchester ballistic tip bullet.
The salesman is right about the Nosler Partition, they are built more for larger game. The Nosler partition will work every time for deer but you really do not need them. A ballistic tip or remington core-lokt will work just fine.
