I' d have to guess that it " could" happen. Heck stranger things have happened.
I' ve often wondered if this is possible. About 10 years ago, my brother in law shot a little 5pt that I could swear was a fawn. It was the size of our avg fawns (50lbs), had a short little face, a really small, weird rack, and acted like a fawn(ie: it didn' t run...he walked right up to it). I wish I would have checked the teeth...hindsight of course. Not sure if it' s possible, but who knows for sure. I have seen fawns where the buttons have grown out of the skin into little spikes (like an inch or so). Early born, I' m sure.
