Seems to me that, as a co-owner of the ranch, he's probably paying quite a bit more than the average lease hunter... I hunt on a 1500 acre ranch. The cost to be on the hunting lease runs about $2500 per hunter per year. It'd cost a heck of a lot more than that to buy that 1500 acres.
