For a .243, a lot depends on the round count. If it's been shot heavily the barrel may be on the way out. If it's almost new...well...the price will be almost new if it's not visibly worn.

I have no idea what the typical mark-down is on a previously sold but otherwise new gun, my impression has been not a whole lot of savings to be had there.
