For the conditions you list, the perfect choice would be a Marlin 336 in 30-30 with a trim, low-mounted scope. That's what I use (scope is a Nikon 2-7).

Remington 700 - .30-06
Savage Arms - .308
Remington Model 7 - 7mm08
No great preference here. A Model 7 appeals for trim size, but I'd probably take the (short-action) Savage in .308, though they'll all do just fine.
BUT THE BEST CHOICE HERE would be a Marlin in 30-30. Benefits? Easy on the shoulder, ears, and wallet, and fully as effective as the others you've listed for the conditions you've listed.
