I've never personally owned a Mathews and probably won't anywhere in the near future. I shoot all of them each year, just to see what they have and quite frankly, I believe they're going backwards. At one point, I almost thought about buying a Switchback. IMO, that was one of their better models.
That said, Mathews is a marketing machine and they sell a ton of bows each year. I have to wonder if a lot of them are buying the name and not the bow.
Mathews does a ton for this sport and they put a lot back into it in donations. For that, I commend them and respect what they do.
