I think it is like everything that we use, check and recheck the equipment. If it is unsafe then take it down and don' t use it.
I feel the same way. We are responsible for our actions, equipment and lives. Tree stands are the best and most popular way to hunt around here. Safety should always be #1....too many guys are too lax and fall. All of a sudden treestands are bad because somebody wasn' t paying attention.[:' (]
