It depends on how you're hunting, it isn't essential all the time. If there's a chance you could be seen then wear camo, in a well hidden blind you could wear a Bozo the Clown suit and not worry. Open pattens consistantly outperform cluttered ones, if it looks "busy" to you it will look like a dark blob to a deer. My faves are Natural Gear and ASAT. BTW, deer aren't totally color blind, they see blue, green, and yellow extremely well. They also see into the lower UV spectrum, including blaze orange, UV killer will take out the reflectivity. Their eyes are particularly sensitive to motion. Because of the position of their eyes on the sides of their head they have little to no depth perception.
