Deer hunters are very jealous people and farmers don't want extra problems.

I am buying 40 acres off this farmer. He owns 120 acres. anyways, This guy has know my family forever. I have always hunted his land and made a deal with him to buy some land. Anyways, last year while bowhunting on his land, another guy who had permission came up to me, we shook hands, talked about deer hunting and opening day. Parted ways nicely, I thought. A week later the farmer calls me up and tells me I am no longer allowed up there. Why i ask. The other guy told him i kicked him off the property, ect. ect. I tried to tell my end of the story and he didn't want to hear it.

My point is, farmers are simple people. It is or it isn't. Good luck to your buddy but he should probably look elsewhere to hunt to be on the safe side. Have him make peace with the farmer cause they are always willing to help a neighbor.
