I am really thinking about a KY hunt next season. Thinking about DIYing it where i hunted when i lived there. Cheap hotels and a few year round camp grounds so cheap lodging. I know some about the area so it will not be a total new area. PLus i need a reason to get a high power rifle.
Not sure what rifle and caliber i want to go with.
Thinking a Remington 700 in a 7mm,300, or the simple but good 30-06 a Ar platform 308. It's a Ar15 for i need to say more.
Besides those two i am at a total loss. Maybe a weatherbe but i know nothing about them. So what would your recommend.
I need it for hunting. I would like to get some long range target shooting in with it say 200 or even 400 yards if do able. Ammo availability would be a good thing. Plus a easy load to reload. Of course accuracy is a must. As for budget not sure yet say somewhere around 1k or less. Figure that should be do able by august and be ready to go come deer season in nov.
