I'd rather buy something that I will most likely shoot on a regular basis, than something I'd hope to never have to use. Amazing, people will worry themselves to death about what gun they are going have if they are ever attacked, and our troops take what they get. And ball ammo at that.
It's kind of like insurance or a seat belt. You hope that you never have to use them but you are dang sure glad you have them when the crap hits the fan.
The troops don't have to worry about concealed carry in the summer time when they are dressed in shorts and a t-shirt at the beach.
If it were me and I had a $700 gift certificate I would have a few on my list to look at.
