I'm a little leary of any "optical" device costing less than $50.00 on a gun that can shoot up to 3 1/2" shells. The recoil alone, can wreck that site in short order. A friend of mine bought a BSA Red Dot site for his Remington 11-87, which is a "lighter" kicking gun than your 835, and it destroyed that site after only 9 shots!!! I'd suggest taking the plunge and buy a good quality scope instead.
