I agree 100%. I was never pressed to hunt but i was always enjoyed it so i ventured out on my own. My first Deer was a doe, 2nd deer was a younger buck with a decent rack that could have been hanging around for another year or two but after i shot that deer i didnt hear any greif about it. It was all congrats from everybody. Yet thay did eventually tell me you know that deer could have stayed for a little longer and explained why which i learned from. When i look back on this I respect the reaction i got from killing that deer instead of them bashing me for it and leaving me wondering if i should shoot the next deer i saw. It makes me strive to kill a bigger more mature deer. It makes me think about the situation from a managment point of view instead of killing the first deer i see. You dont have to bash them. Any deer is a good kill for a kid, i believe you should always support theyre decision to be out in the woods hunting. If they shoot the wrong deer you can still support them in a positive way and still let them know what they did wrong. It tought me how to be a better hunter.
