the difference is HUGE!

same .35 caliber bullet....(i beleive they are both the same bullet size but i suppose they could be something odd..)

but other than bullet size there isnt much more to compare...the 35 remington doesnt pack NEAR the punch the whelen does....

there ARE 7600s in 35 whelen out there...not as common at the common calibers...only made for a short while..i think less than 10yrs.....from 88 and on but havent been made in mass recently..there are some special runs of them still made but used it likely the best option...search for Grices gun shop online...click on "remington specials" or something like that on the right...they are having a special run this year...not sure how many they would have available though...

my next big game rifle is going to be a 7600 in whelen...i want a big thumper for deer and bear drives...a 200-250gr bullet from the whelen aughta be a heck of a thumper...ive decided my next major purchase is likely going to be one just so i have it before next year and dont put it off...

used ones in good condition seem to bring more money than other calibers...but ive decided i'll pay what they are going for...thats what i want...i love the pump guns quick handling and size and weight and quick follow ups...but want somethin that'll put a bigger hurt on somethin than a 3006...i was going to go with a big bore lever gun till i realized they made the 7600 in whelen...so thats what im going to be after...do i NEED something bigger than an 06 for deer and bear? nope...not at all....but i want a big thumper...just because i do...
