Depends on conditions...
For sure if you want one gun to hunt deer and yotes, one of the smaller calibers, like a .243 is a great gun. Bullet choices for each animal are extensive. Lots of other calibers are very good too, and none has much on other calibers despite some comments. Some of your choice depends on how you will be hunting. I used to hunt with a camp, and we spent most of our time driving deer, in public land. For that type of hunting, I always wanted more of a "hammer" than I needed for stand hunting at less alarmed deer, in less crowded conditions. For the drive hunting, I like my 30/06 or a .308. but they would be overkill for yotes.
