Default RE: Beginning muzzleloading

I just purchased a CVA Mountain Stalker in .54 caliber for under $70.00. That would be a deffinate entry level rifle. They also sell it in .50 caliber. I have three other black powder rifles, but could not pass up the fun of having another at that price.

There are in-lines that can be bought for around $100.00 although I do not know anything about them. I shoot sidelocks. I guess you will have to decide if you want a sidelock, or in line, and what you want to spend. Then look at the different rifles out there. If you find one you like I am sure people here on the board can tell you the good and bad points about it before you choose.. Good Luck
