I have always hunted from my climber treestand but this year I need to be in an area that does not have trees I can climb with my stand. Has any one hunted from ground level much like turkey hunting? Is it more difficult to keep your scent from being detected than from being up in a stand? Do the deer tend to notice your movement more while being at eye level with them?
