Default Bears in Harrisburg

This large bruin has been wrecking bird feeders and doing other damage in the Harrisburg suburbs.

Looks like a real hog of a bear, too. I've hunted bears in northern Dauphin co, on SGL 211, Stony and Peters mountains in the past. This is a real problem area with lots of complaints and bear numbers are on the rise here. WCO Mike Doherty has been appealing to hunters to help out here, and looks like they could use it. haven't seen too many large bears come from Dauphin, but I'm betting this guy is well over 300 pounds. Anybody else want to take a gander at his weight? looks like he's plenty fat, too...and that big ol' head is nice and wide between the ears. A trophy for sure. Good luck to everyone chasing bear next week...I'll be there too, on Jack's and Stone mountains in Huntingdon county. Hope I see this guy's twin!
