I have had mixed success with it in the area I hunt in north central WI. It has brought in some deer, and I believe the strong sweet smell is what does it, and I like you have mixed it with corn. However, I have had way too many bears come in to the stuff as well and keep coming back to the area after it's gone, so I no longer use it. I will say this though, after season last year I poured a bunch over a stump and the ground surrounding it, and this spring when I checked the spot it was all dug up, maybe because of the high salt content. Have you ever tried it on toast?
