I would let the deer go over night and recover your deer in the morning. Never or less the shot will kill the deer. Its just a matter of not pushing him. If you pushed him out of his first bed after shooting him. He could go a good ways after jumping him up. I once had a liver shot deer go 6 1/2 hous before he dropped. I know this because thats how long I waited before going after him. Luckly thats all the life he had in him. He dropped after jumping over a fence 300 yards from point of arrow contact. I never gave up and did recover my deer. Waiting over night is best and hopefully your deer will more then likely be with-in 100 yards of impact. Good Luck!!!
