Default Shot a deer but need help

I know everyone is probably sick of these threads but I had a good buck walk in this morning and I passed completely through him with a three blade meat seeker. Now the bad, I shot him at 20 yards about 17 ft up. I think I must have hit him farther back but I couldnt tell for sure. It was dead on up and down but I think I pushed the shot so it hit him a little far back. It looked like my tracer nock went in about 6 inches behind his shoulder. It could have been a bit more but im not for sure. My arrow was covered in blood and stuck in the ground about 4 inches. I let the buck sit for an hour or a little more and started on the trail because I thought I heard him crash. Well I walked right up on him bedded down and he jumped up and ran off. He had two blood spots where he layed with a little clotty stuff in it. He then started bleeding good so I marked where his blood trail was and came back in about 4 hours and the trail thinned out to where I couldnt find it anymore. What do I do now? Also the blood was not a lung hit and was a little darker but I didnt think it looked dark enough to be liver. But who knows, I just wanna know if you guys have any advice. Another thing when he ran away he stood about 100 yards away and just looked around. He has never bled too terrible much but always a little. He did kind of hunch his back up but it didnt stink at all so it wasnt a paunch hit I dont think.
