It all depends on where you hunt. We hunt on private land, put the restrictions on ourselves in Port Jervis, and we've noticed bigger deer taken. We're not allowed to shoot does, at all. We have 25 hunters and we're averaging 17 deer a year, same for the past 10 years, but the bucks are ranging from 6 to 8 pts. Guys are seeing a lot of spikes and 4's, and it's great letting em go. Granted, if your a meat hunter, points don't matter. But all our guys are saying it has worked. Now if I can only convince em to put in some food plots.
