Well just an update on my Oklahoma Muzzleloader season. I hunted hard over the 9 days of season and saw three different shooters. The first shooter came in early one morning and stayed in some thick brush before walking straight away from my stand up a hill and out of sight. By the time I could tell he was a shooter he was gone. The second one came out one evening with a smaller buck and stayed behind a plum thicket. All I could see was his head and rack sticking up above the brush and the wind swirled and the younger buck got my wind and busted. The bigger buck followed him and I couldn't get the shot off. The third shooter I saw as I was walking back to my truck after an evening hunt. As I topped the hill on the way back to my truck he was standing in the path. It was too dark to shoot and he busted as soon as he saw me. Nevertheless, there was good deer movement and I expect to kill a nice buck with the rifle in a couple of weeks. Good luck to the rest of you and hunt safe.
