That's what hunting is all about.. If they travelled the same routes every single day they wouldn't survive very long. Humans aren't the only predator that can pattern it's prey.
At least you're able to pinpoint the general area they use consistently. Keep at it and one of these days their luck will run out. You just have to be in the right place at the right time.
