Don't beat yourself up, it speaks volumes about your character that it bothers you, and it would bother most of us.
No one hits their mark 100% of the time, that's just hunting. It's what you do after a bad hit that defines you as a hunter.
I agree with other, that if you go out, BAZE ORANGE, and be safe! Not knowing where you hunt another hunter may finish her off any minute. Hell this doe could be superficially wounded, and suffer no real ill effects. I saw a buck get a PASS THROUGH under the spine and show up on a trailcam the next year!
