I have experience with exactly one BLR. A .308 that my BIL got six months ago. While I don't consider it a 600 yd. rifle, it is a very nice 300 yd. rifle and worked quite well on a nice antelope buck at that range.
Answer = no this particular lever rifle is not as accurate as the average bolt rifle I own. It is however far more accurate than the lever rifles I own (Model 94, 336) Generally lever rifles have thinner more rounded foreends. This is not condusive to excllent bench shooting. They often have barrel bands, again not a great bench shooting idea.
