i use a flashlight to and from the stand and don' t have any worries. last season a buddy of mine shot a deer right at last light. we waited an hour and went out looking for it. i was shining my mag light all over the place looking for it, walked up on several different deer. each just looked at me while i shined the light right on them and eventually walked away without concern when i closed within 20 yards. got myself a deer the next day from the same location so it evidently didn' t bother them to much.
