Well, that's hunting - live and learn. Personally, I never pop a cap. But I do flush the bore with a fairly wet 91% alcohol patch and do it vigorously so that on the first thrust or two atomized alcohol blows through the flash hole. Follow that with a dry patch just to be sure. Haven't had a misfire or hangfire yet.
