I don't know if it's normal or not. I've never seen it, though. I suppose that in areas where both a plentiful, they really have no choice but to coexist closely. I'm sure that they realize that one is no threat to the other as well. In fact, the turkey's keen eyesight, combined with the deer's excellent hearing and nose, would make an excellent defensive combination against predators that might prey on both.
