I ALWAYS take them off, I feel they are distracting, when I'm looking through my sight my eye always wanders to it, and I think its to hard to look at both. I haven't had one on my MagCat since i bought it and I shoot stupid tight groups at 35yds, I don't ever shoot farther than that because I don't feel comfy.
