Wayne,
Great story, thats a bummer that you missed killing him by a couple of inches. I have been taking my range finder with me the last couple of times out since i've been in different trees. (based on the wind direction). I usually misjudge the distance for shot out to 40 yards. I guess the distance and then us my range finder. Seems like I always think the shot is closer than it really is. I've set my bow up to shot one pin from 0 to 30 yards. It shots about 2 inches high at 20 yards and 2 inches low at 30 yards. My heart goes out to you about that shot. Hofefully you get another chance. Its early and I think the best hunting is yet to come.
