I guide on both game estate (high fence) and free range. They`re both challenging in there own respects as the animals know when your hunting them. It also depends on the size of the propertys, our smallest is 5000 acres with both woodland, open country and rocky outcrops in the hills so from that point of view it is very much a fair chase hunt there. I find that both high fence and free range animals are very similar. The two main differances that affect the meat is quality of feed, and time of year ie are they in the rut or middle of winter in the snow ect. But its all good, after all thats what hunting is all about right?
