Nothing feels better than your first ML Deer, way to go! I hope you get many more.I still can remember my first ML Deer, a 6pt with my Dixie Works 50 Cal. Poor Boy, back in the patch & Round ball only days (no scopes) It was 1987 and I just got the 50 Cal, the (older) guys I Hunted with told me I could'nt hunt out of a treestand with it as when I pointed the ML down the ball would roll out the end of the barrel! I believed them so I hunted from the ground. The 6pt came by and I took him out at 67 yds with 90grs of 3F, I was thrilled! Never went back to a shotgun after that.
Later the guys finally fessed up about the ball rolling out the end of the ML and I felt like a ass, but all was good. Sorry but I had to pass this story along to everyone, Im sure you all got a good laugh!
