Default How to carry a climbing treestand?

I have a Hunters View climbing stand, but this is common for all.

How do you carry your climbin treestand? I ask because mine came with some shoulder straps and a brief paragraph on it in the manual, but it is not very helpful. When I try a couple of different routines, all are quite uncomfortable.

When nested, the foot rest part goes inside the seat part.

So, some simple questions:
1) Do you carry it with the tree and cable clamp end up or down?
2) Where do the straps go?
3) Is there a good way to ajust the seat and back to provide some padding? (Mine has both a foam seat on web straps and a backrest.

Any suggestions or good pictures of someone carrying one?
