At one time there was some free ranging fallow deer in MD, but no longer. Unless someone is releasing some more. The digest was never changed, not sure why, but there hasn' t been one killed in years. I knew one old farmer who had shot one about 35 years ago, if not longer. Last year' s MD deer hunting guide had a picture of a guy with an axis deer, claiming it was a fallow, but it was poor editing, look for yourself. just sikas and whitetails in MD.
