Tie in a nockset and D-Loop
EXCELLENT depiction of a previously abstract concept - Thank You!
.
Successful effort on my 1st try YehHah... I too ended up removing the tied D-loop and burning the second ball end off bow to assure that I did not burn (another) string set.
.
For future consideration I measured it and I actually used a 4" length measured after the melted tip (no Flame) ball ends were fashioned.
.
I used a brass nock to define the high mark of the nocking point with the D-loop below the nock and above the arrow. The lower leg was pulled up snug below the arrow as I pulled it tight with my release and opposing hand followed eventually by a few dozen test shots to settle the string.
I also re-tied my peep using a variation of your nocking point technique which seems to be working very well indeed.
Knowledge is confidence and you have given this community a gift that MANY ARE SURE TO APPRECIATE.
Thank you!
