It wasn't necessarily directed at you or any one else in particular. You know how these recall things can get out of control. Someone sees a recall and immediately thinks the worst when all it may be is updating past customers to a better cable pin.

As far as the harnesses goes. All manufacturers have theirs built by outsourced companies that specialize in things like harnesses. Yes Summit owns them when they put them in their box but they also trust that the company makes them to specs and that they are safe. Obviously not every single harness is being stress tested other wise they wouldn't be any good for the consumer if they were. Summit has no way of knowing if they are good or bad when they come packaged in plastic from the manufacturer but if they do find a flaw it is good of them to issue a recall.
