depends, I have one in a .22 hornet that drives tacks, I bought a 7-08 barrel for it and shot like crap, sold the barrell. but I will never get rid of the hornet. Handloads have produed 1/2" groups at times.
Did you call bout the problems you were having with the barrel? Ive been thinking about the 22 Hornet, but the cost of the bullets are crazy for factory loads... I really need to get into reloading.
