I have the H&R with the heavy barrel in 223 w/ a 6x24x50 scope. Super accurate out to 200 yards (cause thats as far as I can shoot at the range I belong to).

I put a serious thumping on ground hogs and taken yotes with it.

Im actually looking at the Survivor rifle HB in 308, I have heard nothing but good out of them. They run about $250 vs a Savage or Remington varmint or Tac rifle starting around $700. The money I save will go into a nice scope for it.

Plus with that budget keeps the wife happy.
