The 770 is a 710 with better makeup
There are lots of bad reviews on them, but it's another way to get the guy who wants something cheap. Savages and stevens are well known for accuracy, just like the Remington 700. Sometimes either of these can be bad shooters...just none of the ones I've shot from either maker
So basically, Savages simply shoot great, and the 770s have too many corners cut to be called a quality rifle.
