Default RE: Doe Ra Me Foss So Lot T Doe.......

Bow, your right, taking a barren doe is the ultimate prize when it comes to taggin doe....barren doe do nothing for the herd, they don' t bare more fawns, they eat, and eat and eat and really do nothing more so sure culling barren doe is obviously the way to go. Now, it' s tough to pick out that ol split tail...that lone big doe that comes to the food plot...is she barren or did she boot her two male fawns already....tough call but she' s big so she' s a must take....

The second best cull is probably that first year doe....not the fawn but the last years born....she' s not producing much yet, she hasn' t built maturity, genetics....take yearly does, barren does, let young bucks walk....so much to think about, so much to do...lol

We all need to do our part for deer management, wildlife management etc....so much is asked of us but yet we fight daily for our right to hunt. Damn' d if we do, all wildlife is damn' d if we don' t....

All falls back to making a successful recovery, being proud of your trophy and taking quality photos...regardless.
