I usually hunt close to home. Leave at 0h dark-thirty and return late evening, well after dark. 1 fully loaded rifle, 2 or 3 spares and the remainder of the box in the truck.
When I do go on out of town trips, it's 2 rifles and 2 boxes of ammo for each rifle.
