The ballistic tip is designed to expand rapidly when it contacts resistance. In .243 it may not penetrate deep enough on deer. Loads from Federal like the Sierra Gameking, Nosler Partition, or Speer Grand Slam would be better for deer. Other manufaturers would work too, just picked Federal out of the bunch.
