I have been using this gun for about 5 years, has been a good gun for me. Has killed me a deer every year, without any problems. The reason I don' t like it though is simply I am a Bolt kinda guy and always have been. When I bought the gun my friend recomended this gun to me. Said you can' t really hunt MN whitails without a Semi Auto matic. How wrong could he be. I have never needed more than one shot, the first is what counts. I just like the idea of a bolt.
More accurate and more fun to shoot. I don' t Hand load, however I may start soon. As far as being undergunned, I just hate being over gunned. I have several ways I could go. 7mm-08, .308, .270, 7mm rem mag and so on. However. I enjoy target shooting and using a mag just makes it more dificult. I am also kinda bored witht he 30-06 since everyone and his brother has one. I am looking for something new and different. Thanks DRH1175
