There are loads other than 3 pellets that will shoot the same trajectory. For instance 120gr of 777 FF and 120gr of Blackhorn, as well as the fact the all you have to do is plot where you are hitting with a bit of practice at each range which should be done any way.
As for the Clarity, there are different opinions and that may well be due to the difference peoples eyes. I have some thing like 25 scopes including a Leopold for me the better Bushnell and Nikon are the most clear I have two Nikon Omega scopes one on a Triumph and one on an Endeavor if I could find any thing better then it would be on the Endeavor.
